My 93 EB has developed about 3/4 inch sag on the left rear side compared to the right rear, I suppose to continual weight of the gas tank and towing over the years. It seems the simple way to correct this is to add another small leaf to the bottom of the left rear spring pack. Has anyone done this to one side of their 91-94 Explorer and if so, I would appreciate your response reslults and also the name a company who sells a leaf for the left side. Thanks for the help! Mike

Actually, just get one for both sides and it will even out.
Don't know of any brands though.

Beavis195: Have you added one or two leafs to your 94? I thought the addition of another leaf my right side spring pack would cause there to still be a difference in height. Would appreciate your or anyone's comments on this. Too, I really would like to know a high quality leaf spring company that would have an additional bottom leaf spring. I have thought about going to a junk yard and just getting one the same width, cutting the length off to fit, but I am not sure of the tenision it would have. Mike

Not an expert on the 93s but... my 96 had a sagging left rear and all it needed was to have the torsion bars adjusted (does yours have torsion bars?). I also noticed my sag was back a few weeks ago and it was due to one of the front sway bar links snapping in half and allowing that corner to rise a little.

Kevin: No, the early 91-94s do not have torsion bars; rather they have twin I-beam suspensions. Not as good of a ride but mighty tough! I am trying to keep my 93 close to stock as possible as I am convinced the early models will be classic one day. Thanks for your response. Hope I get some more input as I tow a small travel trailer, perhaps from a master tech or others, who might have had experience with rear stock suspensions on these models. Mike
