Over the years I have noticed the left rear of my 93 4 door is about 3/4'' lower than the right rear. My guess is that a leaf spring on that side has become weaker. If that is the problem, I would like to replace it with an identical leaf, but one with more arch or lbs of tension. Does anyone know of a company that sells leafs or is there a simpler solution? Thanks MikeTEC

Hey Mike,
Everyone has that problem. It is more noticeable when you have a full tank of gas because the tank is at the left-rear. On the newer models people have dropped the front-right via the torsion bars, but I'm not too sure how to handle it on ours. Maybe get the springs re-bent?

fix

I found the fix for 91-94s.

Swap the right and left leafs. Use Warrior Shackles if your rear is lower.

Or, sure, buy new leafs.

I have a 91 and noticed the same problem, figured it was like you said, the leaf spring. But when a recent frost heave covered road busted one of my rear shocks clean off, I replaced both and poof, the sag was gone, it rode level in back.
