91 Ford Explorer
So here it comes again. So I just need a little more space for tires. I want to run 31x10.5 15x8 91 explorer 4x4. So add a leaf in the rear and TT for the front. Now I have seen springs for the front that are 1.5" to 2" can I run these and the TT will it be more then 2". Last thing is the steering shaft length will that be affected on such a small lift. Any info is good. read a lot of the forums and just couldn't find my answer. New to fords. Also not really hard core wheeling just like to camp off grid. trail run a little.

TT doesn't apply to your 91, it's for 95+.
Get coil spacers or taller coils, and longer shackles and/or helper spring in the rear. Or, put the 31s on, and trim body as needed, it won't be much.

Thanks you. First time ford owner. Owned Jeeps 60's VW and now 12 years in Older Volvo's. Yeah Just spent and hr or so searching more. Springs and shackles are my route.
Do I need things like Axle pivot drop brackets. Radius arm drop brackets or just springs, shackles and alignment good to go.

If front springs are sagging a fair amount, I think your better off with some mild lift spring rather than washers under the coil. I used Skyjacker 132X springs and then did SOA for under 400 with camber/castor bushings. Shocks an extras couple hundred. Also, you might consider budgeting for shocks, makes a difference in overall handling with an old rig. Drop backets not needed for what you're asking for.

x2 on the shocks. On my stock Explorer with quality shocks, it's hard to imagine that these had a rollover problem. It just plants so firmly and hugs corners. Good shocks make the biggest handling difference, no question.

In addition to what was said already -- you might also need the Moog camber bushings (Moog K80109 I think) to get it into alignment.

That's what I'm doing. I've been running coils and spacers. Since my front coils are getting saggy, I am replacing the whole setup with Skyjacker 132X's.

My truck has developed that lean toward the drivers side. It's because of the fuel tank, I keep telling myself. Not because of the donuts I eat.

My springs were so wore out I gained nearly 4 inches after the swap. It made it tough to align even with +/- 4 degree bushings, though. But it rides pretty even with the SOA.
