I am thinking about lifting my EB 2 or 4 in . I got a price for the kit at East Coast Off Road in MD they want 1475.00 for the kit excluding the installation fee. They only put on 4in lift kits and I was thinking of about 2in kit. Is this to much for the 4in kit or should I look other places for the kit and the installation???? :D

I don't know alot about the four inch kit on a second gen., but I do know that you can lift your ex two inches for a whole lot less by doing the torsion twist, and shackles, or add a leaf.

Or just do a Body Lift. about $130 for 1,2, or 3 inches
simple and easy

How would I do a body lift? Can I take it to a 4x4 place to have this done?

Sorry for the late responce.

I don't know if you can take it to a place or not, because they don't make a kit for an Explorer. The Ranger kits will work but you need the bumper brackets from one and the steering stabilzer from another. A Body lift is not hard from what I've been told. and cost about $130

I'm starting to get everything together for a 3" Body lift so I'll let you know how it goes.
