i have a 00 explorer that had the air suspension but i switched to regular shocks. is there a difference between the early explorer shackle and the 00 shackle? and at that note can i use a 6" early explorer lift spring to level out my ex and make a little lift?

I haven't seen the air suspension, but I've only seen one style shackle in everything I've seen from 95-01 explorer, 01-05 sport trac.
If your goal is just to raise the rear end a little, you can buy a warrior extended shackle for 1.5" lift.
Part number is WAR-153

so if i understand this right then the explorer shackle has never changed? i have a freind waiting for me to get back to him about the size of the shackle. can someone show me a picture of the factory rearend on a early explorer and the shackle so i can compare. and will the rear leafs be compatable from an early explorer to my 01? the 01 rearend is the same as 95 except for the air suspension. and yes my goal is to be level after the 2" TT. the twist is the air suspension taken out means that my rear end sags almost 2". i figure that the springs are soft cause the air suspension acted as an add-a-leaf kind of? but this is my dilemma.

any help?

there are great shckles that lift the back up to level , i got a pair on my 96 , the same rearend setup as you probably have,, they lift the back just a bit , about 1.5-2 inches ,
i got the ebay ones, they are the same as the warrior153 built strong and put the back up where it should be, ,

did u have the air suspension?

I'm not 100% sure about if they're the same, but follow my logic, cause I think they are.

-The 2000 Explorer you have, is considered a second generation I believe.
-I know that the rear end from a second generation can be put into a first generation (as i'm planning on doing this for disc brake option).
-I've seen the Warrior 153 Shackles recommend for both first and second generation, so I'm going to say they'll fit second generation Explorers.

Good Luck.

thank you. i'll be lifting it soon then. thanks brothers!
