"liftgate ajar" Problem

One of my back window hinges broke about a month ago, so i had them both replaced, no issues with that. But once it started warming up outside i let my windows down, and if the windows are down and i'm doing 50+mph the message center keeps saying liftgate ajar off and on until i either slow down or i roll my windows up. Anyone else have this issue? how do i fix this?

Before anyone asks, i have checked the liftgate and it's indeed shut all the way.

My guess would be the latch needs adjusted. When you have the windows down the incoming air is pushing on the inside of the liftgate causing it to open ever so slightly tripping the door/liftgate ajar light.

well....the door ajar switch are in 3 places in the liftgate. 1 switch in the latch for the glass itself and 2 switches on the actual liftgate...one on each latch on the sides of the liftgate. so i'd maybe try to have someone sit in the back with the liftgate closed and the engine running. press open a little on the glass part and see if the light comes on...then press on the liftgate itself and see if it comes on. hopefully you'll be able to tell which one it is...then adjust the latches from there.

Where from in Ohio?....I'm in Akron and I was a Ford tech for 10 yrs. If your close I could give ya a hand with it...I got plenty of tools.

ok...well i'm driving down to the covington, ky area early june to meet my ex and pick up my son for the summer time.....gonna be a 1 day trip.
