liftgate brake light HELP!!!

i have a 93 eddie bouer explorer, i am having trouble with the 3rd brake light on the lift gate. I can't get the light out to change the bulbs. I took the two screws out but it's still won't come loose.

ANY IDEAS???

My 94 was like that, just pull on it a little some times it seals it self to the truck, just get your fingers under the seal on the outter edge, that is what I had to do on mine

Yep mine was tight too, but probably not been removed for ever. Just work it a little it will come loose.

You might have to put a little screwdriver either inbetween the outer plastic and the X, or in the screw hole to get it out...good luck
