I want to lift my '96 2 inches but heard it was really hard because it is welded rather then bolted on, has anyone lifted these years and what needed to be done.
I'm looking to lift it then put on some larger tires but no serious off roading.

You could do a tortion twist and get some warrior shackles for about 1.5" of lift. Or you could go with a 3" Performance acessories body lift if all you wanted is to fit bigger tires on there, if you do both (TT/Shacles and 3" body lift) You could fit a 33X12.5R15 on there! Do a search on all these.

I have the TT, shackle, addaleaf and the PA 2" lift. I can run 33x12.5 if i trim some, but I chose not to, so I run around a 32"

I would recommend doing a TT front and shackle rear. With those two you could most likely fit a 32x10" tire
