Have my 1995 2wd xlt 4 dr explorer and since I bought my 2002 I was going to sell my 95 but since comvinced my wife to let me keep it "just in case a problem occured with her van or my new explorer" yeah right haha..
anyway i did the torsion bars for a good 2 inches since it is only 2wd and shackles in rear cheap ones from autozone with 31 BFG All Terrain KO's
time to add more to it, few things I am thinking
Body lift Fairly cheap and a weekend project.
It is in desperate need of new ball joints in front, major squeaks and last night was down to 5 degrees and felt like i was driving a squeaking and creaking truck.
so i am thinking while i have the front end apart for ball joints can i just bolt up some new spindals which i have read about one time on these boards.
that would give me i think 3 inches right??
if i go that way what about the back do i put add a leafs or i think you guy call it spring over axle which looks fairly simply??
would that be enough to lever everything out front to rear?
also where is the best place to buy body lift if in fact i go that route and the one i do buy since it isn;t for my exact vehicle will the bolts be correct in the kit if it for a ranger.
how about spindals any one know where I can buy a set even used if someone had a set or know of one...
I want to at least put 33's on my explorer.
what is so funny now is when i park them side by side. no one would ever belive the 2002 is the 4x4 and the 1995 is 2wd the 2wd stands at least 3 to 4 inches higher than my 2002.
thanks for any input in this and I did search for spindals and came up with very little.
