01 Sport Trac
Hello everyone, I'm new here doing my first post.
My question is I know that Superlift makes a kit for Sport Trac, does anyone else? What would I expect to pay?
Having never done a lift before I may seem a little on Ignorant on the subject. Thanks for the help.

Welcome to the site... Trailmaster also makes a lift for the ST...and from various reviews I have seen, are a much better overall product than the Superlift... The lift for the STs is going to cost about $1500.....

Welcome to the site. Your looking at probably around $2000 for the lift and install. They aren't very cheap, trailmaster also has a lift you could use. Do a search and you will find all sorts of stuff on the lift.

Beat me to it Jim

HAHA
Hey Jim, I thought that the superlift was the better one and the trailmater was the one that people here didnt like. Because of the steering slide or something like that.

Yes, TrailDisaster is the bad lift. It has a crappy steering slide and ball joint spacers. The Superlift has new spindles and corrects the steering properly.

Thanks for the info.:)

As was already said; Welcome!! This is one of the greatest resources you can have for any Explorer related questions. :) I have a sport trac also, and you will quickly learn that many (if not almost all) components are in common with the 2nd gen Ex's. The shackles and Torsion twist are really easy and cheap, and will allow you ample room for 32" tires (or 265 75 16's).... You will notice more and more that the Sport Trac lifts are very expensive, but we are blessed with HUGE wheel wells ;) Which at least make some things easier.

If you enjoy wheelin' do not be deterred by our long wheelbase (over a ft longer than a 4 door Ex) or overhang... I have wheeled a fair amount and had a blast and I am almost stock!! Enjoy.
:)

Gbosin,Juat checkin to see if you got the lift for your sport tracand what you thought of it...I've got the same
probs.with my 02.

Ratster, I don't think I will be purchasing one for awhile. I'm in the middle of buying some land and I've been activated for military duty. Needless to say my priorities have changed. I hope to pursue a lift when I get done with my military duty.

Again, thanks for the info everyone.:exp:

What is the torison twist and shackles..............where would i find it
