Has anyone here installed a light bar on your x? I just got a grizzly mercury bar with five kc daylighters on it , what I was thinking was I'm gonna drill two holes right in front of my sunroof and use two sheet of 1/4in aluminum to strengthen the areas on the underneath side of the cab and mount them that way. if anyone has any ideas please let me know.

I'm always nervous about drilling holes in my roof (even though I've got 4 holes in it right now, ha ha), best advice is to remove the headliner first and make sure wher eyou are drilling doesn't have a piece of frame there or anything

Light Bar

Howdy! I haved a light bar on the top of my 1996 XLT. It was a steel horse. I purchesed the mounting brackets for mine and drilled the holes in the side right under the weather stipping. When I srewed the bracket down I used black slicon to prevent any leaking. It lookes realy nice how ever if you are driving down the road it howls a lot. I mean really loud. Especally with the sun roof open. I ended up taking them off the roof and made some brackets at work and mounted them to the front bumper. You dont need to add anything to stenghin it I went over 85mph with mine and they never mover a bit. You are more than welcome to take a look at mine here is the link: http://photos.yahoo.com/billybob1581
The two that you are looking for are Used The Flash And New Position.
