ok heres the problemS. first off, the light around the bottom right of the MPH gauge and the areas around there are dim. then, sometimes, when i turn on my lights, the right light (low beams) will be REALLY dim, and the right blinker (even though its not turned on) is light up, only in the car, not out side. and if i turn it on, it blinks really slowly, not like normal. but sometimes it doesnt do that, but the dim right side of the MPH gauge is always like that. also, my rpm gauge bounces around, and its stayed at 4k for awhile... help ! thanks.

Gremlins!

Seriously though, sounds like a systemic electrical problem. I'd check all your major electrical connections: the powers and grounds to your fuse boxes and to your gauges. Also, make sure none of the wiring stuff that you've done is causing a power wire to ground.

Even though it only does it sometimes, your flasher relay might be going bad. It's a very cheap part, can't hurt to replace it. Did you recently do any lighting mods? You might have badly or accidentally tapped a switch or relay or something that's hurting the rest of the system.

I dunno, it's a bunch of stuff that's going wrong, and the problems/possible causes need to be narrowed down.

well i found out today, that when it happens (its the right headlight by the way) if you hit it, then it will go back to normal.... but the RPM gauge i have no clue. lately, its been staying around 4k rpm, unless i hit the gas REAL hard, but when you turn the car off, it goes back to 0

Have you modified any part of your wiring? It sounds like a bad ground or possible short circuit. ......I understand this doesnt help.

Let me give you some tips:
-Go back over and inspect all wiring connections
-Replace Flasher
-Make sure all Turn/brake/running lights are in working condition.
-Disconnect any tow wiring mods....if apllicable.
-Check for any visual loose grounds.
-Check for moisture in lenses and bulb holders.

Concerning the TACH..........sounds like its just gone bad. It is possible you may need to get a different instrument panel.
By the way, What is your battery guage doing during all of this? Does it sway back and forth dramatically when using signals or lights?

Good Luck!
Al
