Limited Running Boards

I hate the chrome running boards on my Limited.....The only chrome I want on my vehicle is the wheels.....I took the boards off, and now it looks worse, too much frame rail showing! So now I'm gonna look into the painted running boards. Does anyone know if the painted boards bolt on the same way as the chrome ones? Do they use the same mounting hardware? Thanks for any help? Buy the way......if anyone is interested in trading, let me know

Does anyone know if the Eddie Bauer (not sure if that's spelled correctly) running boards are paintable? Are they the same thing as the body colored boards? If anyone is interested in buying my running boards, just pm me. Already have one offer, but I'm trying to see if someone wants to trade out first

My limited running boards aren't chrome. They match the paint on the rest of my truck.

EXACTLY......mine are the chrome tube like type......look more like nerf bars than running boards......sweet ride by the way

I looked it up online, the OEM ones cost like $400-$500, and thats not even painted to match!

I found a passenger side one on eBay, he wanted like $225 for it. Your best bet may be a junkyard, but I'm sure most of them have probably been damaged in an accident.

What web site did you find the OEM ones on? I don't mind to spend around $400, I figured the dealer would want a grand or more.....if I sell mine, I would only be out an additional $200 or so.....wouldn't be too bad

I think it was on fordpartsnetwork. They also had part numbers for brackets and stuff....I'm not sure all whats involved in installing these on.

I was assuming my brackets would work, but I'm not 100% sure on that
