Limited Slip Rear End

Has anyone had a problem with Auburn limited slip gears? I noticed when I going thru snow both rear wheels spun when I couldn't go any farther. Today I started sliding off the road so I tried backing up the front wheels slid off the road one back wheel was spinning and the other was sitting still. Does it not work in reverse? I finally had to just turn and go straight down the side of the mountian to another road. The limited slip definately worked then.:shoot:

Well, if anyone is interested, I got a reply from an Auburn gear distributer and he said "The Auburn does work in reverse. It will slip, though, if put in a bind.
-Sams Offroad."

That's how limited slips work. That way they don't engage around corners, etc.

I also got this reply from another Auburn LS distributer "Yes, these units do work in reverse. There is probably just too much traction difference to make the stationary wheel spin."
