Uh oh.... just changed my tranny oil on my 94 X 5 speed and the magnet did its job. It has little bits of metal all over it and im not talking flakes. More like small crumb size bits about a 1/8 teaspoon amount the trans shifts fine with no noise or problems Is this normal? I doubt highly that the trans fluid has ever been changed and it has 110,000 miles on it

Sounds normal

I would say that is normal, heck that's what the magnet is for, is to collect the wear and tear of metal that occurs during it's use.
Wonder why the motor oil drain plus isn't magnitized?

metal chunks is a bad thing... metal flakes is normal.....
