2001 Explorer Sport Trac
Hello,
I have a 2001 Explorer Sport trac, took it in to get a fuel filter, and the line that goes from the fuel filter to the manifold needs to be replaced. The mechanic claims a parts cost of $500.00. Does anyone know where I can get one at a reasonable price?
Thanks!

High pressure fuel injection hose, 3 dollars a foot times 12 feet equals thirty six dollars plus some clamps and labor to install. Good luck.

You are likely not going to get a cheap OEM line. As suggested use a combination of rubber and existing. I suspect the reason you need the replacement line is because your "friend" had an issue getting the filter off... hence the replacement line... my guess... :-) a combination rubber hose with appropriate connectors will allow them to bridge any line that they have to cut off (bad section if need be).

Nylon hose would be better, doesn't break down over time and handles high pressure.
