Working on a 98 5.0 replacing all front suspension components. Had to cut off the top of the drivers side shock. Nicked one of the 2 fuel lines. It has a electrical tubing over it and is actually a hose line at that point.
Is it necessary to replace the entire line, or can I cut and clamp a short piece of fuel hose there.
Any and all suggestions are appreciated. As of now, I cannot start/drive the vehicle.
Thanks in advance

If the line is metal where you cut it I would suggest flaring the ends of the metal lines and using a hose clamp style that is a full round clamp not the typical screw hose clamp, there is a clamp specifically for high pressure lines. If you don't flare the line the hose under the high pressure could pop off, also make sure you remove any burrs from the end of the steel line so it doesn't cut through the hose.
