I'm considering just using the Powertrax Locker for the LS rear ends. It costs about $100 more or so. Was wondering if I put it in do I get to remove the LS parts out of the diff or if they stay? If they stay what's the downside to having them in there? Is there any problem with regearing the LS rear end down the road?

I have a guy here that will install another clutch in the LS. It will be almost as good as a locker, and only $50!

I'm wanting to get away from the clutches as I'm not keen on doing maintenance on them.

Well, switch out to an open and lock it.
$500.00 for part and install for a lockright locker
$900.00 for part and labor for an Eaton locker
$1000.00 for an arb and another $350 to install it
Your call.

I'm looking for the answer on do you keep the LS parts when you put a No-slip for the LS in?

No - the entire center of the carrier is removed (which includes all "LS" functionalities and parts).

Seems like that might be the easiest route to go. After I get a open carrier and the tools I might be ahead to just get the lockrite for the LS diff and call it done.

Yeah you got it.

Thanks! That thread has been deleted.

Correct, just remove the spider gears and clutches.
I've driven the no slip and IMO I prefer the aussie locker, but a carrier swap might be intimidating.
