I just noticed this the other day. (the temp here is starting to drop). Sometimes (haven't isolated the exact time) it seems to crank forever to start. Othertimes it cranks right over?

Any clue.

Along with this. I bought my X with 59K in oct 02. I now have 85k. What prev. maint should I do?

If your not sure when it was last serviced, give it a good ole fashion tune up! Couldn't hurt. I know what you mean by the cold temps creeping up, we have already had TWO snow falls already, and more snow forcasted next week.

I looking for the REAL deep stuff, so I can go 4 wheeling, without any damage! :D

I've noticed this problem when the temps go down below ~60 deg F, sometimes it doesn't start as easily but still starts. It seems like the engine control system has a harder time deciding what the settings should be compared to normal (> 70 deg F) or colder (<50 deg F). It seems like my Ford Ranger would do this as well.

Or maybe its just my imagination ;)
