Longtime lurker first time poster

Just introducing myself. I have a 2001 5.0 explorer tha I have owned since new. I have found many answers to repair and maintenance issues searching on this forum so many thanks. I am now contemplating what it would take to convert it from 2x4 to 4x4 if I can find a good wreck to pull parts from. Has anyone been down that road before?
