I will be going with my dad tomorrow to look at an Ex. for him. it is the eddie bauer 4x4 trim and is running around 70,000 miles, what would be some things to look out for that are common with this gen. explorer?
Search around in this forum, this question has been asked several times in the last couple of months. Also, what engine it has is very important as to what issues to watch out for.
The list of things to look for is long, but most of them can be dealt with by yourself if you can turn a wrench or two.
Wheel bearings, radiators on v6, exhaust manifolds on v8s, ABS rings on all, rear wiper bushing seizing up, smart junction box, .....
