Looking at 98 XLT --NO 4x4 switch?

I searched till my eyes were watering- It is hard to search a negative!! Can find more than I could use about the switch and mods to it.

But nothing on "No Switch Installed" or the like to be found.

It is a 4x4 but without the 3 position switch. 1998 XLT V8 automatic.

since its a v8 you have AWD, so thats why theres no switch.

Does this mean it is Full Time 4x4 / AWD with all four wheels equal?

Or it shifts power around like the Auto position on the switch?

MAke sure there is a front driveshaft there....it could be a 2wd V8...
