Year, Model & Trim Level
'11 Sterling Gray Limited
of the interior of a Limited with black interior. I can't remember how much of the wood paneling there is and I can't seem to find a picture anywhere. I'm remembering a thin strip of wood...near the glove compartment but I test drove it months ago and now have this fear that my car will show up (some day) with loads of wood paneling.

Just one comment on the interior pictures from that above mentioned link.

It shows brown woodgrain trim with what looks like a charcoal interior. It's actually Ebony woodgrain in the charcoal interior.

I have it and it looks very nice.

That would be very nice.

I was wondering about this. Most of the pictures I have seen have been brown woodgrain. I did see a couple that looked like they may have been ebony woodgrain.

I HATE wood grain interiors!

However, I have a Black X Limited on order and the very small amount of wood grain, if you would even call it that, looks very nice!

Like Sgt1411 said, it's more of an Ebony Wood grain. Very nice IMHO and like I stressed, I really dislike the traditional wood grain so much that I have refused to buy trim levels that force you to have it.

The X looks very nice!

Im with you I hate the traditional brown woodgrain too.

Supposedly a sign of elegance?...ya try TACKY!

I think Ford has done a nice job with this thin strip of ebony wood accent, just enough to look nice but not enough to be overwhelming.

The whole interior on these new Explorers is a big step up from previous fit and finish. I commonly hear people say "This is a Ford?.....really?"
