Hi I'm new to the forum, I dont have an explorer yet, but I'm looking into buying a 2nd gen. I was just wondering if anyone had any advise as to what I should be looking out for.
It all depends really, do you want a 4WD or a 2WD, is it going to be more of a daily driver or are you going to be off road most of the time? One thing I found is there are more options (lift wise) if you buy a 4WD (my opinion; I just found more lift kits that only applied to 4WD Explorers). Granted; there are still things out there you can buy to lift a 2WD explorer - spindles, body lift, etc but then again you can also lift a 4WD explorer with a body lift. There are so many options its insane! - I can tell you this you won't be disappointed whichever route you choose.
Hi thanks for the quick responses. I am definitely looking for a 4wd, it will be my daily driver but I also want something I'll take off roading, as well as through snow during the winter. I have been looking at whats available through places like autotrader and cars.com but I was just wondering if there were certain things I should look out for when I actually go look at these trucks in person.
