okay heres the problem... my 92 likes to lock up the left rear wheel under minimal pressure. (really scares civics when i come screeching up behind them) anywho it seems like something is really binding in there. any clue?? it really feels like it wraps up the axle too

its a 5-speed and i use the parking brake a lot could that have some effect? could it be a stuck cylinder? any input would be great

thanks guys

Have you had the brakes checked lately??? It could be any number of things, retaining spring off, air in the system, grease leak on the opposite side, proportioning valve bad, out of adjustment...Take it to the shop and have it looked at before it gets you or someone else hurt. In the event it locks up on a wet road, it is going to throw the nose of your vehicle into on coming traffic.

its not THAT bad. i can tell its coming and back off before it locks or compensate for it pulling which it hardly does, really. i just havent had the time or space to fool with it.

however i just bought a house so i'll have a place to work on it :)

If you can "feel" it or "hear" it coming, I would start with the retaining springs. The center is made of thin metal and they sometimes pull through on older vehicles. You can get a complete set for around $15.
