Now I'm searching for cargo baskets/cargo carriers. Besides Yakima, Thule, Surco and Bauer who else makes these? What brand of carrier do you like best and why?

I too am looking for a roof (safari) rack. My primary function will be to carry a full size spare and mount off road lights while accenting the looks.

Seems like I saw one a while back that used the existing rails and came with 4 forward and 2 rearward light brackets already installed. Does anyone know which one this is or where I may have seen it?

try www.explorerexpress.com click on online catalog then roof racks. it's the cheapest one i found so far and it fits in the original tracks.

I have found them cheaper just about everywhere else.

I'm not looking for roof racks I'm looking for cargo baskets.

There is a guy with an old thread that was selling a wilderness adventure rack, this is basket type, you can also find surco, conferr, e.b. adventure rack you can find at cabellas, Surco has a new stainless rack that is sharp, that was the reason I sold mine, I want that one.:D Surco, and conferr not bad on price, I think they are the most rugged, and these racks are like baskets, 4-6 inch sides, and can put different types of mounts on them from lights, high lift jack, spare tire, shovel axe mount.
