Looking for someone to rebuild/repair my alternator

Does anyone in the Edmonton, Alberta area know of a reputable shop that rebuilds/repairs alternators?

The brushes and voltage regulator would cost you about $65 from Rock Auto. I don't know what your symptons are, but usually it's the brushes that wear out.

A remanufactured one on eBay cost as little as $70. I am not sure about the quality though.

Yeah, a decent remanufactured one on RockAuto will set you back about $100+shipping. I've been shopping myself. Not too keen on the eBay ones although if you have no aftermarket electronics shouldn't be an issue. I'd look at the ones on Rock Auto and forget refurbing yours unless it's a HO alt. Just doesn't make much sense price wise. Warranties are key!

Ebay is the last place I would by a rebuilt/remanufactured alternator.

I am getting P0340 code and some users say that might be due to the alternator. I am driving 98 EB 5L V8. If your used one work I can pay you for sending it to me.
