Howdy everyone. My 2002 explorer has just reached 156k and i wanted to ask everyone what kind of problems they have run into? I have already had to change my alternator, brakes, and rotors. I will be changing all my abs sensors, water pump, and fuel filter. My explorer has begun to make some grinding noises while at idle and and idles rough. Also the panel below my rear window split in two..any help much appreciated.

My '02 never needed a new alternator (163,x.. mies).
I did the brakes and rotors around 120k myself. I also had to do the rear wheel bearings very soon after that (not fun).
One of the tie rods needed replaced around 140k, had a shop do that.
In the 100k + miles I owned the truck those were the only repairs ever needed, aside from standard maintenance (tires, oil changes every 3k, always used high grade synthetic with a fram tough guard).
