Hello. Can anyone tell me where the Mass Air Flow Sensor Relay is on a '91 Ford Explorer? I have looked all over the web, in my owners manual, repair manual and to top it off I have replaced the motor twice in the last 12 years and have never seen the MAF relay. By the way the relays under the Power distribution box look nothing like the relay that any parts dealers will sale you. I am stumped. any advice may help. Thanks.

Welcome here...

What are you looking to do?

I need to replace the MAF relay. Engine is acting like it does not have a MAF sensor when i step on the gas. Motor cuts out and won't rev above 2500rpm. Replaced the MAF sensor already and fuel system is all good. Its got to either be the MAF relay or a circuit breaker for the MAF. Never had a problem with it until i drove it through a large mud hole. Could also be wiring problem but figured i would start with the relay if i can figure out where it is. Im going to clean all pig tails and electrical connectors today and see where that may get me. Any advice?

..If you look a little deeper into these relays you will find they are common, over the counter relays..;)

..No Problem..:biggthump

..But be sure to come back and let us know in this thread if this info helped and if it resolved your issue..

well it wasn't the relays, sensors, or any of the wiring. After putting the new motor in and replacing almost every component on the motor and fuel system....come to find out... it was a clogged cat... the last thing i decided to check. Never thought i needed to because a mechanic told me once that they "fixed" the cat. She is running though!!!:D

..Thanks for the update but sorry to hear it was a bit costly..
