i've had my 02 sport for about 9 months now, the only problems i've had with it was that the window motor went bad, and right after i spent the 80 somthing bucks it decided to work again before i even got the door panel off. The only other complaints i have is finding lifts that do require much customizing. and since i live in HI, when i do find something its an extra 150+ bucks to get it out here.
As far as things to look for that would make it not worth buying is honestly the same as every used car, nothing really that unique to the Sport. i have had absolute zero engine problems and i'm just pushing past 82,000 miles now. Its my every day driver and its the best Ex ive drove.
The only noticeable thing that i have come across that i dont like very much is that at around 70mph the stair starts to be alittle looser than i prefer, but being that the speed limit caps out at 55 on island, im not gonna complain to much. lol
