Loosing all lights while driving

Hi!

I have been searching for a problem that has me stumped.
My friends 2007 Explorer 4.0 liter looses all his interior lights, gages, and exterior lights while driving. It is now happening more frequent now.
-The truck does stay running while this happens.

Anyone have something happen to them like this??

I hate to go to the dealership.

yup this happen to me once, have you checked battery cable connection. Even those mines seemed tight was loose that if you have enough hand force you could pull it off

I had this on a prior SUV when my trailer wiring had a short and blew a fuse in the car.
