Losing power during left turns, as if fuel issue

Hi,

On occasion, fairly frequently, maybe 2 or 3 times a week, I'll be turning left from a stop (in an intersection) and suddenly lose power briefly. It can be quite scary if there is oncoming traffic down the road! I'm sure it only happens when turning left. It feels as though I am running out of fuel, although I'm not. I'm not sure what else to say to describe it but if you ask me any questions I should be able to clarify.

That happened with a friend's boat. Only on left turns. It would lose power badly and finally stall, after a while you could restart it and it would be fine until you turned left.

Drove us mad trying to diagnose it.

It was a loose battery plate shorting out.
