Hello i own a 2008 explorer, in my country (venezuela) some streets and too bad and sometimes when rain, the water level of the street get too high (till the license plate) and i noted the SUV loss power or aceleration, i put the acelerator all te way down and the SUV varely moves and stay like that even after geting out of the water for some seconds them it works fine again, is like the transmision dont put 1 gear or some like that.

i scan to see if some missfire but anything on the scanner, only p1000 but its normal in my country because all ford here get that code.

I guess your serpentine belt slips and charging voltage drops for a moment

Also check your trans electronic connector (the one near passenger side cat converter) for bad insulation

Worst thing you can do is put down the pedal in deep water. You create a wave that could drown your engine. Best thing is to creep through or already have speed going in

i know, you have to have a constan velocity the problem is the truck lose power (slowing down the speed) and when i get out of the water even puting the pedal all the way down the suv barely moves for some seconds and later start aceleration again like nothing happen
