lost keycode

ok heres the problem disconnected battery to install driving lights on explorer ford factory standard radio cassette installed ...with keycode, that it is now asking for....no problem i think check owners manual...previous owner would have written down keycode on supplied keycode info page .....no such luck.attempt to put in keycode 1234..i believe keycode on leaving factory no luck try again in 30 mins as instructed by audio unit.......still no luck........anyone have any idea how to reset the code, or a code that can get me in or must i spend out on a new stereo....all help appreciated

if you ring ford and prove you own the vehicle they will tell you provided that its the original one
