I've replaced the LF hub bearing already... twice... Cause it sounds just like a hub bearing... But the noise is only heard from 15-25 MPH... a LOUD roar... Any ideas? Like I said, it's an AWD 5.0 Explorer EB.

ttt, any ideas?

I am sure that since you all ready changed it twice you checked this but does it make more noise when you make a right turn? If not, could it be the metal guard behind the rotor rubbing against the rotor?

No it doesn't. It's not a hub bearing problem. Sounds like something maybe in the front diff. It actually only makes the noise between 15-20 mph.

It could be a CV or the fluid in the diff could even be low.

What I would do is put it up on jack stands and start spinning the wheels by hand. See if you can hear anything. You'll be surprised what turns up with no weight on the front end, my guess its a CV getting ready to take a dump on you.

Also, make sure your tires are rotated, I say this because it has happen to me, I couldn't figure out what the noise was and then noticed i forgot to rotate the driver side tire, lol. Damn grand father took my attention away when I was doing the work.
