I scooped a stainless Gibson swept-side from eBay and had it installed last Monday. After a week of commuting including a 2 hour round trip a client's office today. I'm pleased with the sound and I even noticed a difference in my mileage.

Since my CPA practice allows NO free time this time of year, I had a local place install it. For $70, they took their time and took the stock exhaust out in one piece from the cat back. Not bad!! The shop is Gallante's in Wilmington, MA. Highly recommended.

At first I thought the exhaust was a little too loud, but it seems to have quieted down somewhat. I would recommend the Gibbie to anyone, this is one sweet kit: not too quiet, not too loud and that 3" tip certainly looks sweet!

Yeah Ive got the gibson on my 93 and i love it. The only problem was that apparently the 93 is different from the 94 as far as exhaust hangers go, and they say that both are the same, so my exhaust shop had to do a little bit of customization and stuff like that. but other than that, its great!!!!

I was surprised. The tough thing about buying a new exhaust is relying on the various opinions on these discussion boards. I searched this site and a couple of others and decided to jump on the Gibby.

It has definitely mellowed out since I put it on a couple of tanks ago. Did this happen to yours?

I also have a 5.0 Mustang that I upgraded with Flowmasters and I really didn't notice the difference after I replaced the stock mufflers. But with the X, it was obvious that the SOHC was working that much less for the same result. Definitely worth the money.
