Hi everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself. I bought a 96 explorer sport 4.0L manual trans about 2 weeks ago. Since then I've been lurking this site like crazy.
With the help from you guys I have:
Changed the spark plugs, fuel filter, crankshaft positioning sensor, cleaned throttle body, diagnosed emergency brake lockup, diagnosed shifter bushing problem and learned how to fix it. diagnosed heater problem and learned how to fix it. Found compatible lower steering joints and refurbished one from a junkyard. Got airshocks to fix the sag. Learned how to remove shackle bolt from frame (as my shackle is rusted out ). Diagnosed my idle problem, diagnosed my ABS brake problem... the list goes on and on.
I knew my truck had a few things needed when I bought it, but I never would have been able to fix it all without breaking the bank at a mechanics shop.
Just want to say hi and thank you to everyone here!
