It means your in 4x4 low. Put it in 2 wheel drive and it will go off

Well it was on auto and my truck wouldnt move at all, and that light was still on in the panel, i then turned my car off and put in on low and my car was able to move, is that a transmission problem you think

does anyone know how to turn off the low4x4wd light off on the panel

to shift out of 4wd low...you should have to put it in neutral. then you'll be back in auto or 4wd high

welcome

YOu could have a bad 4wd solinoid or something but best chance is that if had shut it off in 4wd low, then turned it to auto, then it could get stuck. but then flip it back to 4wd low, through it into neutral and then turn the knob back too auto....that should be the right way to do it

If you read the manual, it says that you have to have it in neutral to shift in and out of 4wd low

My car only moves on low4wd it doesnt move on auto or high is there any solutions to this problem

it is in the transfer case, whatever is wrong....but try what I just said, go out and try it and let me know if it works. put it 4wd low, then put the car in neutral and turn the knob to auto. Then put in drive and see if it will move

im gonna try it now ....please dont go offline im gonna see if this helps my problem

ok...
ill stay on

Yea....well it was great helping you... maybe you should sit down and read the manual when something goes bad....then if you can't figure it out ... just message me... I never like taking my Xplorer to a shop to have work done...we do it ourselves

thank you again , i just went into panic mode...i was hearing all these weird sounds it wasnt good, but thank you for your help and your time, i appreciate your help more than ya know!

yep.... I had thrown it into low one time to get unstuck in the mud. and forgot to put it in neutral once I got out. So yea ive had the horrible noises b4
