Does anyone know of any mods, free or otherwise, that will better protect the radiator behind this opening? Has anyone experienced any problem with debris going in and doing any damage?

Obviously the red arrow point to the area I am speaking of.

Thanks

Fish Man
Where can I get that particular grill insert that you have there? I really like that.

Thanks :D actually its home made. gutterguard available at any home improvement store. for the bumper insert i stenciled a ford logo on it. let me know if you need any more info...planning on doing this for a friend soon, so i could probably get step by step pics.

What are the ingredients? Mesh, Wire and what else?

Here is mine:

I used the Speed Grille Insert in the grille, then used some bbq grille mesh from Lowe's...

Your truck is just 'hooked' up man.

hey, yeah, i just used the screen and some dowels to hold it in there. i like his mesh pattern better though, might want to try that

CobraXP: Is that the gutterguard stuff, or is it expanded metal?? i got some of that expanded metal and it ended up rusting after a month or so, even after i put a few coats of clear coat on it.

I ran over it with a dremel brush, then put about 4 coats of primer on it , and 3 coats of silver paint. Then a couple of coats of the clearcoat. That was about as close as I could get it to match the color/texture look of the Speed Grille...
