ok so i am looking for a new option to lowering the back of my 93 x sport. I had 3 inch blocks in but that made a extremyl rough and bumpy ride. Can i take a leaf out ofr my leaf pack to lower the suspension? If so what leaf?
Edit* looking for a 2-3 inch drop, my front is lowered 1.5

I did the 3" blocks and cut the bump stops and changed shocks, still rides a bit rough, but it is lowered and they usually dont ride like stock or better unless on airride...

....You have an Explorer Sport?.......

The 'Sports' have Mono-Leafs....so there's nothing you can 'take out' to lower it more.

Cut the Bump Stop in Half. You can use a Sawzall and cut it in place.

so blocks are going to be about it? What about another set of leaves?

You can get a de-arched mono leaf. I am running a de-arched mono leaf in my 92 4dr. Explorer. It dropped my X 3". I am running a 2" block on top of that....for a total of 5" of drop in the rear. In the front, I have a 3" drop I-beam, and 2" drop springs.

But you are complaining about the ride being 'bumpy'.....whether you go up one more inch (going from a 3" block to a 2" block), or cut 1" of rubber from the bumpstop...the total suspension travel will gain 1 more inch. Resulting in a MUCH less bumpy ride.

If you like the look of the 3" rear drop, AND you have a matching 2-3" drop in the front....KEEP the 3" block, and cut the bumpstop (or replace it with a thin 'button' style stop).
