Hi I have a two Northface one which is LPG converted and for sale on ebay at present, However the one I want to keep needs to be converted to LPG, but I am worried about doing it myself. which I am quite capable of doing, it is regarding the insurance, they need to see it appear on www.drivelpg.co.uk. as this will confirm it has been installed by a qualified installer. but I have contacted the local LPG installers and they are very reluctant to sign it off., if they did not install. Any suggestions. As any modifications to the engine invalid the insurance if they are not informed ( mine are Direct-line by the way) many thanks Gary

alternatively can any one suggest a good company who can fit lpg to the explorer - the one that is fitted in the one for sale is the PRINS which cost £2500

Many thanks Gary

Hi there
Like Rich i have an lpg kit off an ex to fit on mine. I started looking into what needs to be done to meet the req standards but the info is only available in a booklet/manual of the codes of practice for about £80. A bit of online searching confirmed what you said about registered fitters being reluctant to sign off work they had not done. That is as far as i got as my other project is taking all of my time and cash

But i did find this forum http://www.lpgforum.co.uk/index.php
