Hello people. I just got the micro torque wrench and set it to 100 ft pounds. And it feels like nothing when it clicks. Is that normal?

Do you have another torque wrench to test against? You can get them cheap at harbor freight non electric (on sale around $11.) 100 should have noticeable force required.

Does your wrench have a letting lock that must be tightened? I know some wrenches have this setting.

Was just playing with this over the weekend guess the shop that did my last rotation used an impact gun and luckily I had my 24" 1/2 drive breaker bar to loosen up the lugnuts which were well above 100 ft lb. Lucky there was no damage, my laziness could have cost me no more taking it to shops to do tire rotations.

Anyways I have a 10-80 ft lb torque wrench you definitely hear a click at 80 and I give it an extra twist after the click to get it to around 100 (verified by neighbors 30-250 ft lb wrench)

Thanks. It's actually brand new. I think it's a factory defect maybe. I'm going to return it though.
