M3 sport mirrors?

They make them for Rangers but the door panel so I've heard is different so it won't fit. Is this correct?

I really want to get these M3 replica mirrors for my X (I have a black X and it'd look kick ass), but they don't make them for Explorers, at least what I've been able to find.

Suggestions?

It'd end up costing too much I'm sure, and wouldn't be worth it most likely in the longrun..

I already tried, Ordered them for a 98+ Ranger and will not fit!

The base that bolts to the truck is about 1.5" to small.

No there was no way they were going to work. The bolts are different, the size is all wrong. You can do what I did and bite the bullit and go to the local Auto parts super store and have a set for a Ranger orderd. Then try them out and see if you can get them to work. If not just return them and get your money back. If they do work out you could order a set on line for about 1/2 the price and then return the others to the parts store for your money back.
