MA audio amps ???????

Whats up everyone, I just got the chance to buy a class X 1500 watt amp by MA audio; and i took it. got it for $275.00 just wondering if anybody has this amp or heard it, but the specs got my fancy-90% efficiency!!!!

I was plannin to run it @ 2 ohms for a while to my dual 4ohm rockford punch hx2, at least till i get another one!
then ill run both paralleled to 1 ohm, just wondered what anybody thought about these amps, oh yeah one final question for you audiophiles, how much capacitance do you recommend for my set up
(the amp i mentioned above+crossfire runnin at 2ohms 100x2 watts, i only have a .5 farad cap right now and a profile 600 watt amp, and my headlights dim like a ****.
anyways i gotta get to work to pay for this amp!!!!

Ma audio equipment in my opinion is awesome,my brother has the step down from the amp you have and he has it powering 3 10inch w3 d4's and they pound and that amp does no even get warm He has a lightning audio 2 farad cap.I have a orion amp but if should ever go down I will defintelly look at getting a ma amp They make great subs too

yeah doesnt Ma Audio mak an ampwith 4000 watts RMS? Because i think my friend has it and he only runs one Eclipse 12" off it and he has the amp switch like all the way down at the bottom and it still makes you go deaf.

MA audio makes great amps and subs. you see them winning competitions a lot. if your light dim really bad, i dont think a capaciror will do much help. unless you upgrade a few other things. how thick is your power wire? you might want to go with a thicker gauge. then get a cap. i farad should help, but a 3 farad cap will be better. if that still doesnt keep the voltage up, you need a stronger alternator.

I guess i made a good choice by pickin this amp, I just noticed its LCD shows voltage and temp, i cant wait to get it!!

RoadEnforcer: im a townie, lived in state college all my life, and i take summer classes, which start for me soon!

Leenjen: right now i have 4 guage runnin back split to 8 guage to each amp (profile 600sx+crossfire 200watt) im going to upgrade to 1/0 guage split to 4/8guage when i get the amp, i read somewhere to test if your wire is enough for your amp just feel the temp of it, my wire is cool. oh yeah for capacitors i just saw audiobahn has a capacitor that looks like an amp, shows voltage and stuff, but $$$ maybe ill go with a couple MA audio 1 farads bussed together. i want to think about the alternator lastly, i know that i should check that first but $$$, i would like to hit some competitions this summer so what do you guys think i can hit with this set up, or with another 15" punch hx2, id like to get at least 150, and i think I can. anyways this is gettin long so thanks guys, ill check back

for my 92 explorer a 200 amp alternator cost $225 from www.mralternator.com
your explorer has the same engine so it might be the same alternator. but you should call and make sure first.
