Mac cold air intake

I did, i fit everything in first and did a drive without first to make sure there wasnt going to be any issues, then cemented it, you could probably use any kind of glue but im not sure, the cement is the best but you only have a couple of seconds before it hardends.

I am having trouble getting the 3" pipe to fit. The hood won't close. :) I'm wondering how you guys were able to do it.

Do you still have the insulation under your hood?

Yes I do. I looked at that...thought about removing it, but I am worried about my paint if I do.

Even a 1" body lift would make it fit but I have a thing against body lifts in general :)

If all else fails, cut it out were the piping goes :p Mines been off for a while with no paint problems yet, i removed it because it was pretty soaked in oil and getting old.

There was a thread about that insulation on here a while back. I should chk it out to see if that hurt anyone's paint long-term. I'm not sure if the 3" pipe would fit even if I removed the insulation though!

try it, you can just throw it back on if it doesnt, also if it doesn fit ill get more detailed piccys of mine for ya.

First I bought a solid 90 degree PVC piece...but now I bought a 90 degree rubber elbow, with the hopes that it will be more flexible...

My stock tube is cracking out at the TB end and also at the MAF end.

Oh, and 2" to 3" joint is NOT necessary if you have a BBK throttle body...straight 3" will work, with hose clamp...2" will not fit, even with stretching.
