Are all MAF's created equal? I found an air box off an 02 Mounty with the MAF still attached. I think the truck was a 4.0 but the motor was absent so I'm not sure. Anyway, it looks like this....

You see where I'm going with this? If the sensor part will work fine on my 04 Ex I can use the holder/MAF to make a smooth pipe intake and still retain the factory airbox as a heat shield.
So, other that size and shape - will the sensor work just the original?
