I scored one for my old '00 SOHC Sport a few years ago (since traded in on my current ride). It wasn't specific for the Explorer per se, but a dual in, single out version of the muffler that a local shop scored for me.
I kept it on for about a month because it sounded like ass. Ricey as hell so I replaced it with a Flowmaster. The MF is sitting in a box in my garage where it's been for years. I know of others that didn't care for the sound of the MF on the SOHC either. I figure I'll put it on my 5.0 some day (once my current muffler wears out). Magnaflows sound great on the 5.0 I'm told as well as the OHV version of the V6.
I'd look elsewhere for a better choice. I had a 50 series Flowmaster on my Sport and it sounded fine.
