At about $65 a piece shipped, are they worth it? On ebay they got the universial cats. I wud need two because I have the 1999 sohc engine. My question is, will the o2's still work right? Wud it be worth it?

The generally accepted thought is that they improve flow characteristics over stock; but not a drastic change. If my stockers went bad, then I'd probably replace with what you described. But, unless having high flow situations like forced induction, I'd probably stick to the stockers.

Also check with Magnaflows website. They make dozens of different cats. The one you see on Ebay is probably not the ideal one for your vehicle. If you are seriously needing them, call Magnaflow and get their recommendation, before buying one. Good luck,
Don

I have actually installed a universal magnaflow high flow cat on my f150 and a full exhaust system from the headers back. If you are looking to improve power and torque it might be worth it but i would also install an exhaust system too. If you are looking to improve gas milage it isnt worth it, didnt help mine at all.
