Magnecor or Taylor??

Ok, so i'm about to throw on some knew spark plugs and wires together. Which do you prefer?? I've heard the best to choose from are magnecor or taylor for the 5.0L. :scratch:

P.S. Autolite Platinum are the best plugs for this application as i've heard too, correct me if i'm wrong please

Select the wires based on how long you will keep it, and how much upgrading you will do. If you stay near stock and sell it in a few years, buy lesser cost wires. Otherwise get the best, which are Magnecor wires, about $130 through a vender not the OEM.

I don't know about Magnacore, but I do know stay away from Taylor. My Taylors have deteriorated faster than the el cheapo wires I bought. To make things worse, Taylor wouldn't make a reasonable effort to remedy the situation. They wanted me to send my wires in for them to inspect and determine if they were defective. What was I supposed to do for wires in the meantime?

hey i know these are not one of the brands mentioned but what about nology hot wires besides the price.

Nology, the several hundred dollar stuff, is crap. Read about it on the Magnecor site, they provide more real information about wires and plugs than you will find anywhere else.

I see the wires on their site for $196.. I also dont see any kind of distributor or vendor list on their website. Can you let me know where you could get them for that price???

I ran Taylors and had no problems other than my own stupidity.

Are those horsepowerfreaks part #'s? cuz it is different than the Magnecors #. Just trying to be sure. Thanks for the point in the right direction!

My actual box is an 85270, I got it from them about two years ago. You can call them if you like, they were easy to deal with then.

I always run taylor, been ok so far, havent tried the other ones yet. Just keep heat and oil off them, make sure you buy the spark plug wire protectors. The wire will still burn if its tightly wound around the header after several weeks, dont ask why or how , if you have no other choice double up the covers.
