OK, my exhaust setup as of now is a Flow 40 offset in/center out with custom bent piping out the back. Now, I had an IMCO extreme on my ex-fiance's 96 and loved it, as some of you here may know. I want to weld up my own IMCO extreme to my piping that I already have. I want to do this myself as my welding skills are not too shabby. My question is How can I make this work? IMCO extreme only comes center in/center out and my current setup is for offset in/center out. The IMCO is also significantly shorter than the Flowie so it gives me some room to play with and I know I will need a peice of pipe to fill in the space.

Well, if the new muffler will fit in the place of the old one (IE muffler casing not hitting or rubbing the body of frame), then all you have to is cut the FM off and a small section of pipe behind it or in front of it. How much you cut off depends on how much space you need for the bends required to realign the pipe. If you don't have access to a pipe bender, you can buy some pre-bent sections of pipe and weld them together in an S shape so that the pipes line up with the old catback. I'm thinking like 2 45* pieces or 2 90*, but it's hard to tell you exactly what you need without actually seeing the exhaust.

hmmm i will have to go look at some bends to see if I can come up with anything in my head
